2016 Bien Nacido Estate "LXXIII" Pinot Noir

Hand-harvested at night, fermented with native yeast, and malolactic fermentations. Aged for 16 months in French oak; 30% new. This wine was bottled unfined and unfiltered.
This wine is very Bien Nacido on the nose with mandarin, mahogany, and anise. The palate is fine but firm with understated elegance that has plenty to reveal if given enough time.
Monterey shaly loams. This comes from the own-rooted original planting in 1973.
