2013 Solomon Hills Pinot Noir
Hand harvested at night, and fermented with native yeast and malolactic fermentations. Then aged for 18 months in French oak; 40% new. This wine was bottled unfiltered.
Vibrant aromatics of fennel, cinnamon, and blue fruits dominate the aromatics at the moment. These carry through to the spicey fruits on the substantially masculine palate with integrated acidity, and great length.

Solomon Hills Vineyard, Santa Maria Valley, Santa Barbara County. 10 miles from the Pacific Ocean, this Pinot Noir is planted on the western edge of the Santa Maria Valley appellation. This site is so close to the ocean, you can actually see it with your eyes and taste it in the wines.
Garey Series; a marine based wind deposited loamy sand that at one time was the sea bed.
